19 May 2017, early morning

We are leaving on a high note! We caught another tagged bird this evening – the very last bird we set out to capture had a tag! With at least 5 known tags in this area and data in our hands from 4, we are leaving with a smile on our face! Tonight, the staff at our lodge had a farewell party with us. Too much beer, many toasts, lots of laughs! These people and this place are very special! Our taxi will take us to the train station at 10 am tomorrow morning and the next adventure begins! This time, we will be capturing birds in a location where two different subspecies of barn swallow meet up and hybridize. More soon!
